Create an Underground Location
- In the Setup Schedule > Locations > Underground tab, click Add.
- Select the DTM that represents the location.
- Click Open.
- Edit the properties of the location as required.
The Choose a DTM form appears.
The location is displayed in the 3D Canvas. The view of the canvas is rescaled to fit the extents of the new and existing data. The location that was added is listed in the Location pane, and the location is selected.
Tip: You can also add locations by dragging them from Windows Explorer or the GEOVIA Surpac Navigator, or by adding rows using the spreadsheet view.
Locations are given default names when they are added.
If you drag multiple DTMs into the 3D Canvas, a location is created for each DTM and each location is given the name of its DTM file.
If you drag a single DTM onto the 3D Canvas, or select a single DTM using the Choose a DTM form, and the DTM file contains only one object, a single location is created with the name of the DTM file.
If you drag a single DTM onto the 3D Canvas, or select a single DTM using the Choose a DTM form, and the DTM contains multiple objects, the Create Production Locations form appears asking whether to create a single location for the DTM or individual locations for each object in the DTM. If you choose to create one location, the location is created with the same name as the DTM file. If you choose to create multiple locations, a location is created for each object in the DTM. The locations are named with the name of the DTM file followed by an underscore and the object number.
